Anyway, prospective marathon ideas... not that it's difficult to group games together in a category and play them for the internet, but I'd certainly love some feedback on what people would like to see done next. Perhaps not a marathon, but I've had some ideas rolling around in my head for a while. So, without further ado...
Mario Marathon
Jyto has expressed interest in personally playing the back catalog of Mario games. Though he didn't specify just what titles he would want to do other than saying "I would totally do a Mario marathon," I've taken the liberty of breaking them down on account of his rusty thumbs into categories. Of course he would have the final say on what the list consists of, here's some tentatives:
2D Marios
- Super Mario Bros. 1-3
- Super Mario World
- Super Mario Land 1-3
- New Super Mario Bros. Wii
- Super Mario 64
- Super Mario Sunshine
- Super Mario Galaxy (and 2?)
- Hotel Mario
Mega Man Marathon
Mega Man is no stranger to marathons for anyone who's familiar with Oyster's streams. In an attempt to come up with something Leppy would want to play himself, Mega Man immediately springs to mind. This is much easier to categorize because the franchise neatly splits itself into subcategories. Again, Leppy would have the final say on what games would be played, or even if he would want to play at all.
Classic Series
- Mega Man 1-9
- Mega Man & Bass (maybe)
- Mega Man X - X5
- Mega Man X6-X8 (maybe)
Rareware Donkey Kongs
A series that probably lends itself pretty well to a marathon format. Either in cooperative play or single player.
- Donkey Kong Country 1-3
- Donkey Kong 64
- Donkey Kong Country Returns (maybe)
Multiplayer Games
Screw the marathons, just be assholes while playing multiplayer games.
- Final Fantasy: Crystal Chronicles
- The Legend of Zelda: Four Swords Adventure
- anything with cooperative multiplayer
Fuck it, just do Sonic again
Really? Again? What the fuck.
No, just the part of Unleashed with the bees
BEEEEEEEEEEEEEESSSSSSSSSSSSS
Anyway, just a few ideas to digest. You can vote in the Poll over to the right, or feel free to suggest things in the comments.... assuming anyone even thinks to check the blog.
